Article Marketing Tips

When writing articles, it’s always much easier to write about a topic you know about rather than one that you don’t. That makes sense right? But what if you want to write content or promote a site that’s in a niche you’re not that familiar with? Sure you can outsource, but if that’s not feasible, here are two ways to become an expert on an unfamiliar topic.

Using Article Directories – There are countless article directories around that have articles on every topic imaginable. I usually stick with my favorite 2, EzineArticles and GoArticles. Just go to the article directory and search for the keywords you are interested in. Make sure it’s a good quality article and then write down the key points of the article. Then use these points to write the article in your own words. Just the other day I used this strategy to write articles on the following keywords:

• Auto Accident? Need a Lawyer?
• currency pairs trading
• SEM Business Blueprint
• little black dress

Using Videos – Videos are a great resource to learn about a topic. Go to the big video sites like Youtube or Vimeo and again search for videos using your target keywords. Watch the top videos and again, try to jot down the main points from each video. This should get you started with your article.
